The Voyageurs have formalized the organization’s first Board of Directors effective August 2023.
This comes after many months of work, developing a transparent, equitable and clear process for candidate screening, nomination, election and appointment. This marks the logical next step for the organization and its growth and allows the organization to more efficiently and effectively execute its mandate.
This Board brings together a group of individuals with a wealth of professional and volunteer experience and most importantly a passion for supporting Canadian soccer at home and abroad.
Board of Directors Election Process 2025
The Voyageurs are holding the organization’s Board of Directors election in the fall of 2025. There are two positions being considered as part of this election.
The nomination process will launch on September 18, 2025 and will close on October 2, 2025.
The position of Director is eligible to those who meet the eligibility considerations as detailed in the documentation attached. All members who meet the considerations can apply via the linked Google Form. The Governance Committee will make the determination on the eligibility of each nominee.
If necessary, voting for this position will take place between October 3, 2025 and October 17, 2025 via Google Forms which will be distributed to members by email.
The successful candidates will be announced by October 22, 2025 and the first meeting of the new Board of Directors will be convened within 30 days.
