*The registration period for the CanadaRED program with The Voyageurs has ended.
Partnership Between The Voyageurs and Canada Soccer Within the CanadaRED Program
NOTE : The deadline for our members to consent to the sharing of their information with Canada Soccer, in order to be eligible for the ticket allocation draw offered through the CanadaRED program, was set for November 28, 2025. The same conditions will also apply to the new pricing category reserved for supporters of member associations. To avoid any confusion, we have temporarily closed access to our membership sign-up form.
It is with great pleasure that, in collaboration with Canada Soccer, The Voyageurs announce that all members who wish to do so will be able to register for the CanadaRED program at the Community level, and thus participate in the lottery for ticket purchase rights for each of Canada’s group stage matches at the FIFA World Cup 26™, held in Toronto and Vancouver.
Upgrade to the next level at a discounted price
We are also offering you the opportunity to upgrade to the Squad level for $26, instead of the regular $50 price for the general public. Since the lottery increases your chances of securing a ticket as you move up in the tiers, some of you may want to take this opportunity to maximize your chances of obtaining purchase rights.
How is this going to work?
In the coming weeks, we will be implementing an electronic process to collect your interest in joining the CanadaRED program, thereby authorizing the transfer of your contact information to Canada Soccer.
Voyageurs members who were already paid members of the CanadaRED program — either CanadaRED+White or CanadaRED+Gold — as of January 1st, 2024, will automatically be transferred into the new CanadaRED program at an equivalent membership tier. These members will retain their status through December 31st, 2026. By transferring your contact information, you will not be downgraded to the Community tier.
Become a Voyageur member now!
This is a unique opportunity to join the official supporters’ group of our national soccer teams and enjoy a variety of benefits throughout the year — especially in the lead-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Subscribe here. https://thevoyageurs.com/join-us/membership/
For current paid members, it’s imperative to check your online profile and ensure that all your contact information is complete and up to date. Many of you still haven’t provided your full name and address.
Here is more detailed information shared by Canada Soccer with the Voyageurs:
Opportunity for Voyageurs to be auto-enrolled into the free Community tier of CanadaRED
Canada Soccer has created an elevated COMMUNITY membership tier which is exclusive to the Canadian soccer community – including Voyageurs supporters group, men’s and women’s National Team Alumni and registered players, coaches, and referees – amongst others.
Canada Soccer will auto-enroll any Voyageurs members who wish to added to the COMMUNITY membership tier, giving them immediate access to CanadaRED membership benefits and access to FIFA World Cup 26™ ticket application opportunities. COMMUNITY tier members will also be provided with an opportunity to upgrade to the $50 SQUAD tier for the discounted amount of $26 and may upgrade further at their discretion. *If a Voyageur member is already a member of CanadaRED at a higher tier, they will maintain the higher tier status and receive additional communication about their membership status.
Recognition of Support for CanadaRED Program
As part of our process of ensuring we are appropriately recognizing past support, we will be rewarding individuals who have been paid CanadaRED members since paid tiers launched in 2022. In other words, people who contributed in each of 2022, 2023 and 2024 will have their membership status adjusted to reflect these previous contributions. We will communicate additional information to eligible individuals in the coming weeks. Tax receipts will not be issued for previous contributions.
Ticket Allocation and Lottery Process
As you are aware, Canada Soccer receives access to only 8% of sellable tickets across different price levels for each match that Canada plays. Depending on the type of ticket, Canada Soccer either pays FIFA for these or the end user who has access to them (i.e., as designated by Canada Soccer) pays FIFA directly.
CanadaRED members will be invited to apply for tickets through the lottery for Canada Soccer’s ticket allotment, at a time designated by FIFA. We are anticipating a similar process to 2022, but are awaiting guidance from FIFA.
A separate tickets lottery will be held for each match in which Canada plays. An equal number of tickets will be assigned to each tier. Non-winners will continue in the lottery at the tier below. Standard and consistent.
Things we don’t know yet, but will communicate about soon.
We are still awaiting information from FIFA about the following:
- Dates. We don’t know the specific timeline for when the lottery application window opens, what the deadline is to upgrade CanadaRED memberships, or when the lottery will be held.
- Prices and categories. We don’t know prices and the number of tickets in each category.
- Double registration. We don’t know if people will be allowed to access tickets in multiple ways – i.e., through the Canada Soccer allotment via lottery and directly through FIFA via the public lottery.
Demand for tickets will vastly exceed supply
As you are more aware than the vast majority of our constituents, the overwhelming demand for tickets from all stakeholders will vastly exceed supply. This situation is without precedent in Canadian soccer. Overall, we are trying to take a thoughtful, fair, and planful approach – striking a balance between seizing the momentum of FIFA World Cup 26™ to grow revenue via CanadaRED for reinvestment into soccer initiatives, while maintaining fair access for longstanding members of our community. We appreciate your patience and collaboration as we communicate and share information as we receive it.
